Moving on is one of the hardest things to do. At times we are trying to hold on the good times in our lives, a time where we were at our happiest and some how that happiness disappears. Other people are holding on to a grudge that they’ve been holding from 1852. Others maybe even dwelling in the past with some mistake they have made and think that it is the end of the world so they’ll just stay there with it.
I can honestly say i can very much relate to this because I have been living in the past. I didn’t believe I should ever move on. I kept hoping that one day things will go back to the way they were and all will be well. The truth is you are only dragging yourself down when you continue to dwell on things of the past. Whatever happened has happened already and you can’t change it you just have to move on.
Isaiah 43:18-20 declares ““Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The wild beasts will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people,”
Sometimes the things we hold on to are the same things preventing us from becoming that person we ought to be. That mistake that we claim will scar our life forever or that person we loved that is now gone out of our life and we think “Oh its the end of the world I won’t love anyone as much as I loved you” and you just stay there with your memories. Its not healthy! Its really hard but we have to just move on. Think of it this way… life goes on, let go of whatever it is and see what life has to offer you.
So today just accept what happened and live you life, you are not God so you can’t change what happened, the past is behind you. Its time to move on.
Have a Happy Sunday
