Count Your Blessings.

When was the last time you considered how fortunate you are? Sometimes you have to just sit and think about the people who can’t walk, talk or hear. People who don’t have anything to eat this morning because there is no food in their house. Before I got into my teenage years I use to think I was just lucky and fortunate to have all that I had, but getting older I started to realize that it wasn’t luck, I was blessed.

Many people thought that my life would have basically ended after my dad passed away. The truth is that was the moment things started happening, things started going in my favor. I never stopped doing my good deeds even when I had nothing because I knew that at the end of the day God was going to bless me someway or another.

I left Bunkers Hill, went to James Hill now I’m in Portmore… God is Good! Not many people would have been able to be up and out as quick as I did but God made a way and I consider being here in Portmore a blessing. I have been to places I’ve never been and that is a blessing, I’ve met people I thought I’d never meet at this age, interact with them; laugh and talk with them and that definitely is a blessing. I have made friends who believe in me so much its amazing, not many people have friends or family members who believe in them so I also count this as a blessing.

Psalm 103:2 says “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,”

Psalm 103:10 also says “he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.”

You may not have everything you hope you would have had but  you have something. You are blessed regardless of your situation and let no one try to tell you otherwise. If you don’t believe all you have to do is count your blessings!

Have a Fantastic Friday!

Blessings
